Librarypress@UF (LP@UF)

LP@UF, imprint of the Smathers Libraries and UF Press, reflects the Libraries’ commitment to open access (OA) publishing, preservation, and accessibility and its dedication to sharing essential stories from the Libraries and beyond.
OA Books
Since its operational launch in 2018 (soft launch in 2016 found in UFDC archives), LP@UF has published journals, digital and print open access books, and Open Educational Resources (OER), all featuring at least one UF contributor, ensuring its University ties for preservation purposes. Our initiatives, like accessibility, preservation, and sustainability, complement the efforts of the UF Press, collectively advancing the shared goals of the Libraries, Press, and UF.
- LP@UF collaborations with faculty, students, and external contributors enhance publishing processes, including editing, layout/design, peer review/refereeing, formatting, preservation, and promotion.
- LP@UF focuses on developing and publishing high-quality OERs to meet the evolving needs of the academic and research communities.
- LP@UF titles can be found on platforms like UF Digital Collections, Florida OJ, PressBooks, and WorldCat.
- Digital accessible formats (PDF, EPUB) freely available online; POD edition via UPF.com.
- By focusing on knowledge sharing and community story preservation, LibraryPress@UF connects history, empowers the community, and values every voice for future generations.
