About the program
The LibraryPress@UF has published digital and print open access books, creative works, and educational resources (OER) since its operational launch in 2018. All of our publications feature at least one contributor from the University of Florida to ensure university ties and preservation and are released under a Creative Commons license (of your choice).
Currently, we focus on publishing projects using the Pressbooks platform to ensure accessibility. We are particularly interested in publishing projects that:
- Support student success through open educational resources (OER)
- Amplify the impact of the Libraries’ collections
- Feature community- or partner-driven scholarship
- Translate UF research for a global audience through public humanities
- Model transparent editorial processes in sustainable formats
Each year, we release a call for proposals (CFP) for interested members of the UF community. Any member of the UF community is welcome to apply. For more information, check out our Call for Proposals page.
