Partnerships are the core of LibraryPress@UF. This includes partnerships that leverage expertise and systems for creating new publications, OE, and digital scholarship and draw on the team’s deep expertise in collaboration, publishing, copyright, and more.

UF Press partners with the Libraries to manage and ensure the success of LibraryPress@UF, focusing on projects that complement and extend UF Press’s ongoing commitment to academic publishing.

DLOC

Digital Library of the Caribbean

dLOC is a network of over 90 partners committed to promoting access to Caribbean cultural heritage. As the Operations Hub for this program, the Libraries work with LibraryPress@UF to publish professional development and educational materials.

ARCS

Academic Research & Consulting Services

As of 2025, the LibraryPress@UF team members are now ARCS affiliates as part of the Scholarly Communications team. We advise on publishing standards and workflows and publish open access journals, books, and other digital projects.

Affordable UF

Affordable UF is a multi-unit campus initiative to lower college costs, improve the quality of teaching resources, and promote student success by adapting and adopting low- or no-cost textbooks and other course materials. LibraryPress@UF partners with the Center for Teaching Excellence and academic departments to develop textbooks for publication.

Center for Teaching Excellence

We work closely with the Center for Teaching Excellence (CTE) to support textbook affordability and open access initiatives, primarily through Pressbooks.

Coffey Residency for Book Arts

The Coffey Residency provides an opportunity for a selected artist to access materials from the Special and Area Studies Collections (SASC) at the Smathers Libraries as the impetus for the creation of an editioned artists’ book.
